"This is an enchanted house, where instruments play and rouse"
For over a decade, the Silesian Musical Society has been organizing its own educational concert projects for children. This year's series, titled "Musical Stories for Children," is co-financed by the Municipality of Bytom. It will begin in September and will run at the Rev. Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki Educational and Cultural Centre in Bytom until the end of December 2019.
Amber & Silk Festival
The Silesian Musical Society received a grant from the Minister of Culture's program "Promotion of Polish Culture Abroad," enabling Polish artists—the Akademos Quartet, Lorien Trio, as well as Irena Kalinowska-Grohs and Marcin Sikorski—to present outstanding works of Polish chamber music in three concerts at a festival in Beijing in the autumn of 2017. The collaboration established there will continue with a return visit by Chinese artists to Poland.
